Introduction
I’m Justin Ross Tolentino, but you can call me Juroto for short. Welcome to my portfolio website! Here you can find some examples of things I’ve made. And just in case you didn’t know, I love making things! Logos, websites, doodles, noise, food, moves, jokes—doesn’t matter what it is really, because if there’s one thing I specialize in it’s turning ideas into reality. Kind of like a wizard except without the beard, robe, hat, and magic wand. Okay, perhaps a wizard was a bad analogy. Although it would be awesome if I could just wave my hands about and have pencils drawing by themselves, dancing to the beat of keyboards typing code, while I sat in my castle, sipping on some coffee from a dragon’s tooth goblet, coming up with ideas, but that’s a bit of a fantasy.
For now, I do all the hard work myself from a quaint duplex somewhere in the San Francisco Bay Area. When I’m not making something I enjoy hanging out with my lovely lady and our two curious cats, hunting down the best thriller and horror films, tuning into Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, and The Walking Dead, playing my mistress PS4, and riding my bike, Green Lightning, around the bay. Currently I’m available for hire during my search for a fulltime design gig. Hopefully one where I could become a design wiz and, two, afford a bigger castle. Range covers everything from identity conception to logo design, to illustrations and applications, to packaging and web, to research and production, to helping put presentation decks together.

- Worked closely with the marketing team for the retail division of Cushman & Wakefield San Francisco. Designed and updated various brochures/flyers, booklets, and maps. Also photographed various properties they represented, touched them up, and created store front renderings and floor plans for the marketing materials.

- Designed a brand new logo, visual guide, and business cards for Picsell, an ecommerce website and app that makes selling your stuff a snap.
- CG Beat
- Came up with a couple of rounds of logos for Computer Graphics Beat, a new social network for digital illustrators and artists.
- Multimedia Graduate Program
- Created a brand new logo for the Multimedia Graduate Program at California State University East Bay. Also mocked up some stationery, a responsive website, and a poster for the program applying the new logo to each element.

- Designed the packaging for a compilation CD by the California State University East Bay Jazz Ensembles.

- Took the time to create and solidify my identity. Made a new logo, font, business card, letterhead, envelope, responsive CMS website, and reworked, reshot, and revamped my portfolio.
- Research
- Through various resources I learned how to create a font, got up to date on HTML 5 and CSS 3, figured out responsive web design, taught myself the basics of Javascript, jQuery, and PHP, looked into a few content management systems such as Drupal, Joomla, and Concrete 5, and dove into WordPress.

- Made the logo, stationery, and packaging for a milkman as part of an assignment to create an identity for a job of yesteryear.
- Capsoul
- Came up with the name, slogan, identity, and packaging for a fictitious vitamin company.
- Anonymous
- Assigned to create an identity for a new social networking site I made the logo, stationery, style guide, and packaging for a fictitious secret society.
- Bear Necessities
- Designed a cover for a hypothetical book based on one of the Bill of Rights. Created illustrations for the jacket along with naming the book and designing its layout.
- Lost Luau
- Challenged to create a restaurant menu I thought of an identity for an imaginary food truck and created a logo, illustrations, mobile app, and menu for it.
- Back On The Street
- Redesigned a bargain bin CD album. Created illustrations based off of research on the album and the artist and applied them to my package, booklet, and poster for the CD.
